My Frugal Wardrobe and Frugal Birthday Party for Miss B I’ve been working on adding new additions to my wardrobe. This is a recent one, that’s my favorite !! I got this Dressbarn shirt with the tags still on for $1.00 Miss B also turned 9 this December. Winter birthdays are sooo expensive if you have them outside of the home. So Miss B opted to have a Birthday party at home. My mom scooped up some super cheap fun fetti Fourth of July cupcake mixes. That with a little blue food coloring turned into winter wonderland cupcakes. I also scored dollar store decorations and a mural my kids at school were going to throw away! An average birthday at a trampoline center or pool 300-400. My party which included a photo scene, canvas painting and fun ! $35

Dumpster Find Makeover

I found this little table the other day in the wood pile at the dump. It is by no means high-end probably bought from  a big box store but it was perfect for the area in my kitchen that I've been looking to decorate.  The one on the bottom is the before and the one on the top is the after. This project was free because I  already had the stain paint and sandpaper. I quickly sanded  the legs and spray painted them white then I sanded the entire top and stained it a dark wood color. It looks awesome in my kitchen now!

Frugal Gardening

This is my favorite time of year to pick up clearance perennials at Lowes, Walmart, and home depot. I am still learning the art of gardening and refuse to pay full price to kill a plant.  Most of the time these stores will over water their plants (or forget to water them completely) so with some fresh soil, plant food and a little TLC they come back good as new!! They are starting to go by now, but i have paid pennies to have these beautiful flowers! I also bought my garden ornaments at yard sales and thrift stores. Combined they were a total of 6 bucks. My large containers were free from a family member i painted them white and theyve lived outside our garage every since. I also have a wonderful friend who is an amazing gardener. She loves to split her plants and send them over for me to add to my gardenp! Ive also considered becoming a member of the MWV gardening club. Rumor has it the members are very generous with their plants. Frugal plants can make beautif...

Saving Money In Mount Washington Valley

I've lived in Conway about 11 years. Along the way I have found some inexpensive ways to shop, go out to dinner, and have fun. I'd love to show you how I live a frugal lifestyle in valley! Today, I went out and about with my daughter who is also know as doodle bug to me. Our first stop was to the town dump. One of our favorite places to shop!  There was slim pickings today at the dump. I found this cute glass dish, I thought would be adorable for pickles or cheese and crackers. Our next stop was at Shaws. I had rainchecks for chicken thighs for .79 a lb and ground turkey for 1.99 a pkg that had been on sale previous weeks. I got 5 packages of ground turkey to make dog food for my dear old dog. and 3 lbs of boneless chicken thighs.Hubby says he refuses to eat anything but chicken boneless chicken breast. But if i put it in pulled chix or buffalo chicken dip, you wont be able to tell!  I also got 2lbs of bananas free due to Doodle's free fruit card. Shaws will give ki...
